frequently asked questions

Q: My baby isn’t crawling yet. Is the Little Movers class ok for them?

A:
Yes! If your baby is 5 months or older and starting to roll, pivot, or sit with support, Little Movers is a great fit. Crawling is not required, this class gently encourages early movement and coordination at each child’s pace.

Q: What if my baby is between two stages—how do I know which class is best?

A: We recommend choosing based on your child’s developmental stage rather than just age. For example, if your baby is 10 months but still mostly lying or sitting, Little Movers may suit them better than Little Steppers. If your child is crawling confidently but not yet walking, Little Steppers is still a great option. Feel free to reach out, we’re always happy to help guide you to the best fit.

Q: My baby isn’t walking yet. Can they still join the Little Steppers class?

A: Yes! If your baby is over 10 months and confidently getting around by crawling, cruising, or climbing, Little Steppers is a great fit. Walking isn’t required, this class is all about supporting active movers as they explore new skills and gain confidence.

Q: Do I stay with my child during the class?

A: Yes! All classes are designed for parent-and-baby participation. You’ll be alongside your child, joining in on the fun and supporting their learning and engagement throughout the session.

Q: Can I bring food or snacks into the class?

A: To protect children with allergies, no food is permitted inside the indoor play space. You’re welcome to breastfeed or bottle-feed your baby at any stage during the session.

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: Just bring your essentials, a muslin or blanket for baby to lay on, a water bottle, and anything your baby might need. We provide all props, instruments, and play materials.

Please note: Socks must be worn by all adults and crawling/walking children in the indoor play space for hygiene reasons. (Not needed for stationary babies.)

Q: Do you offer makeup classes if I miss a session?

A: If you let us know 24hrs in advance and we have the same class available in the same week (e.g. at Ballina or Lismore), we may be able to move you into that session—subject to availability. If there is no space in a similar class that week, a makeup session won’t be possible.

Q: Can I take photos during the class?
A:
You’re welcome to take photos of your own child, but please be mindful of others. We also take occasional photos for marketing, just tick the “No Photos” box during booking if you’d prefer your child not be included.
